From May 12 to 15, Moscow hosted the 40th anniversary exhibition 'Metalworking-2026'. We couldn't miss it: too many clients, partners, and industry-specific companies gathered here. We share what we saw, what was discussed, and what conclusions we drew for ourselves and our product.
Numbers that Set the Tone
The exhibition has grown again:
- over 40,000 sq. m of exhibition space;
- 1200+ participants – from large machine builders to tooling and software developers;
- 45,000+ visitors – technologists, workshop managers, production leaders;
- VPE increased by 15% compared to last year. This means that each exhibitor received more targeted guests – and negotiations became more intense.
The Main Thing – Live Dialogue, Not Just Handing Out Brochures
We spoke with dozens of industrial companies. An important detail: people came not just to "look around," but to solve specific tasks – comparing samples, searching for equipment, negotiating supplies.
In this context, we shared our solution for the industry – workshop digitalization and real efficiency improvements. The interest was absolutely genuine. No one dismissed us with phrases like "we don't need this." On the contrary: they asked about integration, quick results, and implementation experience in similar productions.
What Was Said at the Plenary Session
The key speech was by D.V. Manturov. He confirmed: the exhibition has become "the main platform for signing large contracts." And this is indeed the case: at the booths, we saw not presentations, but real negotiations, discussions about prices, deadlines, and technical conditions.
Three Trends Noticed by All
✅ Russian manufacturers with real machines in operation
Import substitution has moved into practical terms – the equipment is not just models, but working samples.
✅ International Reach
Many guests from CIS countries, the Middle East, and the Far East. The exhibition remains a meeting place for markets.
✅ Automation and Digitalization – No Longer a Trend, But a Demand
For the second year in a row, this is the main topic in dialogues with technology directors. People want not just machines, but transparency in the workshop, real-time data, tools for increasing efficiency. Our product is designed to meet this demand.
Our Summary
'Metalworking-2026' confirmed: the industry is in a business, working form. We met colleagues, learned about market innovations, showcased ourselves (without a booth, but through live conversations – which is often more effective), and left with a bunch of contacts.
If your business is related to metalworking, you definitely shouldn't miss an event of this level.
